Magzalez redesign starting to take shape
I’ve been working on making a static XHTML/CSS version of the PhotoShop file of the site redesign. Everything is going pretty well. I have been able to adhere to the 960px grid system that I designed it on with success, and I haven’t had to unwillingly concede any part of the design so far.
The real stumper is as the rat race of templating and tweaking the CSS winds down, I am faced with the dilemma of choosing between WordPress – what I am using now – and TextPattern – what I am using on Cooking Matt. I will have to discuss this with some people. Each have their pros and cons. I already had one vote for TextPattern.

Catch the reference?
I’m diggin’ the design…and I vote for WordPress. Or building your blog with Django (I delicioused a tutorial on this a few weeks ago…)

Using WordPress seems more useful, that is, honing in on my straight php would be more useful, but TextPattern makes a point of making some of the things I want to do easy – featured videos/photos, multiple sections, semi-static pages, includes, forms, etc.
But again, I can tell someone I can do WP and PHP and have them know what I’m talking about, on the other hand I get a lot of WTFs when I tell people about txp.
